Locked Notes and PIN

Locked Notes is a Note PRO feature. It hides the notes list on this device and asks for a 4-digit PIN to unlock.

Enable Locked Notes

  1. Activate Note PRO or trial.
  2. Open Notepad.
  3. Open Options > More Options > Locked Notes.
  4. Create a 4-digit PIN.
  5. Tap the padlock to unlock when needed.

Manual lock

When Note PRO or trial is active, a small padlock appears beside the search bar. Tap it to lock the notes list immediately. If the notes are already locked, tap the padlock and enter your PIN.

Automatic lock

After you unlock your notes, the app keeps the notes visible for 1 hour. After that, the notes list locks again and asks for the PIN.

Disable or reset the PIN

Log out of the account and log in again. Logout clears the PIN stored on this device. Your notes are not deleted.

The PIN is local to the device. It is not the same as your account password.
